I would like to bring to the trust representation of the senior season ticket holder, and Fans who travel from abroad in particular Scandinavia. I regularly attend trust meetings. I am also a member on the official Fans Ticketing Focus Group.
I have lived in Wolverhampton all my life (75 years), as a child I lived close to Molineux and could hear the roar of the crowd. I used to collect players autographs, from the Stan Cullis period.
I am a season ticket holder of 20 years + in the Steve Bull stand, my wife was also a season ticket holder till ill health caused her to give it up.
I am not an away season ticket holder but occasional attend away matches. I also attend Wolves Ladies matches, when possible, The Premiership playoff at Cardiff was a real special match for me, also beating Man United twice in the last season was a favourite couple of matches. Living local I do not have very far to travel, meeting with friends before and after matches. This is in the city mainly at The Lychgate Tavern.
As I have previously stated I am on the Fans Ticketing Focus Group. I was treasurer of Lucas Aerospace Running club for 8 years, as part of that was responsible for raising funds and sponsorship for their club running events of entrants of up to 100. I have worked in aerospace engineering most of my working life, also member of trade union and union steward within the workspace.
I would like to join the trust board because I feel they are a well-run organisation representing Wolves fans. My interest is in Ticket pricing, and the infrastructure of the Stadium, in particular the outdated Steve Bull stand. I also feel that the present board at Wolverhampton Wanderers don’t represent the true feelings of the traditional core fan Groupe. They are more motivated towards the corporate cliental, this is something I feel strongly about and would like to change.
I have always enjoyed attending trust meetings and would be honoured to become to be chosen to be a board member.

Why you would like to join Wolves 1877 Trust Board:
I would like to join the board in order to help support the Trust in their marketing and design requirements.

I wish to put myself forward for nomination to the trust board, I have previous experience on the trust board alongside relevant experience as an FSA national council and board member.
I am keen to support the growth and development of the trust and would hope to contribute through developing content for the website and improving member communications (newsletter or similar).
I am a home and away (gold) season ticket holder with my first match being in 1967, I understand the highs and lows of supporting Wolves.
I have been active in the FSA’s national #stopexploitingloyalty campaign and am member of the FSA’s ticketing working group, I would hope to pass on some of the best practice being delivered by other trusts, and clubs through to the trust board to inform our approach within the consultation structure at Wolves.

Football Supporter Info:
I’ve been a Wolves supporter since I was ten and although I eventually moved away from Wolverhampton for work, I had a season ticket until last year - when I followed through on my threat to give it up if the club stuck to its appalling price increases. I am a man of principle! I still go to matches however… even if it is a 360 mile round trip for a home game L.
My love affair with Wolves was kindled in the Bully era and my strongest Wolves memory was probably also one of my earliest – the injustice of being knocked out of the play-offs by an Aldershot team we had already beaten home and away that season. This was the first ever year of the play-offs.
But my best memory came more recently. Walking down a side street in sunny Turin, I heard the distant sound of hundreds of Wolves fans singing. When I turned into the piazza – there we were: Wolves in a European competition for the first time in my adult life, Wolves flags everywhere and jubilant fans taking over the bars and cafes. It was magical.
Any other memberships:
I am a member of the FSA.
Previous Experience:
Besides my qualifications as a Wolves fan, I think I may also be unique in this election in that I work in sport. I make a living as a sports marketing consultant and in that role I have worked with lots of sports organisations and sports brands.
I also spent ten years working for the Sport and Recreation Alliance, the campaigning body for the governing bodies of sport where I was its Head of Communications. That means I have lots of experience in PR, writing and marketing. My main job there was exactly what I hope to help the Trust with – making sure our voice is heard and listened to. I have brought campaigns to Number 10 Downing Street, Buckingham Palace and many other places.
I have also sat on boards before so know how they work and what I can do to contribute to them.
What’s more, I also have sports board level qualifications, having completed the Institute of Directors’ Board Skills for Sport course.
Why you would like to join Wolves 1877 Trust Board:
My reason for putting myself forward is because I believe that our club really and truly belongs to us - the fans. We are the ones who are always here, long after players, coaches and owners have passed through. As such, we are the ones who have its long-term interests at heart. I believe the Trust is the organisation to protect those interests and I would like to offer my skills and experience to help.

Applicant’s Name: Ciaran Barker
Since its inception, I have been an active member of the Wolves 1877 Trust board, helping initially set the trust up following the end of the Fans Parliament. Since then, I have worked closely with the FSA and represented the Trust at FSA Premier League Network meetings and AGMs. Last year, I was elected to the FSA National Council as a Premier League representative, meaning Wolves 1877 Trust have now had a representative on the National Council in every year of its existence.
I am a Wolves home and away season ticket holder and have been attending games at Molineux since the age of 8. I am part of the matchday experience focus group and have also represented the Trust on the Fan Advisory Board in the absence of the chair. I would like to continue my role on the Trust board as I strongly believe that all clubs working closely together with the FSA is the only way fans voices will really be heard. The ‘Stop Exploiting Loyalty’ campaign showed the importance of togetherness, and this campaign is only in its infancy. Likewise, I am part of the broadcast working group at the FSA, which is now looking at action to take during the season to ensure broadcasters and organisers have more consideration for fans when arranging fixture dates and times.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are in my family’s blood. My grandfather attended every match , my dad supported them and l have followed Wolves as long as l can remember. I have lived away from the West Midlands for long periods and have not been able to attend matches due to distance and economics. When living at home in the 70’s and early 80s l was banned from going to Molineux by my dad due to the football violence. l was not even allowed to go to town on Saturdays if there was a home match. Thank goodness that has changed for the better.
I have been a Season Ticket holder for 3 years having moved back to Wolverhampton in 2021. I stand on the South Bank as l love the passion and excitement the fans generate. Previous to that l was living in Salford and attended matches as my friend’s carer. He lives in Manchester, is blind and has a season ticket on the North Bank.
When l can get a ticket and my work schedule allows I attend away matches, usually travelling by coach as l enjoy the build-up with fellow fans and the anticipation of a good result.
I am a registered Homestay host for Wolves Academy and work full-time as Head of Ultrasound at Royal Wolverhampton Hospitals Trust.
I am a member of Manchester Wolves – a throwback from when l lived in Salford and l have also joined various fan groups on social media though l find the latter rather negative at times.
I was not a member of Wolves FP however I was encouraged to join the Trust as l believe in fairness and equity for supporters across all the football tiers .I have no previous experience of organizing football events though l have worked at various music festivals in a voluntary capacity performing various roles including artist liaison, ticketing and marketing.
l strongly believe in equity , diversity and inclusion and have a passion for giving everyone a voice and opportunities
Molineux stadium would benefit from some development , particularly to fan areas and concourses but l think it should stay on its current footprint. Will the external painting ever be completed?
I have questions around why no home matches have sold out this year(to my knowledge) . Is this a reflection of the city's economics or a fan protest against ticket price inflation?
Is there an unrealistic focus on hospitality which does not reflect the cities adversity. I would also like to explore why the kit is continually “on sale”. Is that because the fans don’t like it or because they cannot afford it?
I believe l have many qualities to offer the Trust and remain hopeful that my application is given due consideration.

I’m seeking re-election to the board of Wolves 1877 Trust following the completion of my first term on the board which has seen the Trust grow & us engage with the club on many issues that impact fans. In particular I’ve been a focal point for engagement recently around the issues that surround Wolves Women and the lack of support by the Club.
Pressure from fans caused the club to acknowledge that they will support the Women’s team’s application for promotion – this shows the importance of organising as fans as it makes our individual voices far stronger.
Whilst growing up away from Wolverhampton (surrounded by Man Utd fans) I have been a Wolves for 30 years and in more recent years been able to go far more frequently. As a family we go regularly to Wolves Women games home & away. We form part of a core of Wolves fans that follow the women’s team around the Country.
As part of my role within the Trust I am part of the FSA’s Women’s Game Network; this has enabled me to build relationships with fans of other clubs both in our league but also in the leagues above & below ours. Within this group we meet regularly with the FA and I was part of the team that helped come up with the FAWNL Supporters Guide. When there were recent proposals to include B teams in the women’s game, I was part of the group of fans that challenged the FA on this which eventually led to them scrapping the idea.
IF re-elected to the Board I will continue to campaign for the match going fan be that at the men’s or women’s games – we are facing challenging times at the club as the ownership continue to do the bare minimum to support the team whilst tinkering but not investing in the growth of the club. We need a strong voice as a board that represents the whole of the fan base.
Away from Wolves I also help coach kids football from 4-year-olds to U12’s – this helps remind me why we all fell in love with the beautiful game. It’s a joy I want my kids and all our kids have when they go to the Molineux.
